The 'One of Ours' Story
I've been a lifelong animal lover, growing up with many kinds of pets: fish, turtles, rabbits, cats, and dogs. These days, I'm a mom to a budding teenager and two beloved dogs (below): Lady and Potato, or "Po."
For me, pet sitting was born naturally from relationships I formed at my local dog park. Weekend dog visitors evolved into extended stays. While regrouping after a layoff, it hit me: having an extra dog (or two!) around was not only enjoyable, but something I could build a business around.
The name says it all. When a dog stays with us, they're welcomed into our home and everyday routines, with all the attention, affection, and cozy places to nap that come with being part of the family.
With a marketing career that allows me to work remotely, I have the flexibility to build my days around family, furry and otherwise. My goal is to give your pets the loving, relaxed environment I'd want for my own, and give you the peace of knowing they're with someone who truly cares.

Will your dog feel at home here?
One of Ours tends to be a great fit for dogs who:
-
Enjoy a relaxed home environment
-
Have moderate exercise needs
-
Are house-trained
-
Are comfortable around other friendly dogs
-
Can settle independently for short periods
-
Enjoy companionship and being part of the household
When another care environment may be better…
Some dogs genuinely thrive with more activity, supervision, or separation than our home can provide. One of Ours may not be the best match for dogs who need constant activity or supervision, struggle with house-training, or have significant aggression or reactivity.
That’s why we meet first.
The complimentary meet and greet isn't a test. It gives your dog a chance to meet me and get familiar with Lady and Po. And it gives us a chance to talk through routines, care needs, and make sure everyone feels good about the arrangement. 💖
